Vow to Vote No on the Marriage Ban

Take the Vow

Unitarian Universalists have been marrying same-sex couples in religious ceremonies for over four decades. At long last, committed same-sex couples are finally able to get legally married in California. No longer are the religious views of some being used to deny others the fundamental freedom to marry.

Unfortunately, anti-gay organizations qualified a measure for the November ballot that would amend the CA constitution to limit marriage to a man and woman, thereby banning marriage between same-sex couples.

This cannot happen in California. We must stand on the side of love, and stand up for our constitution.

People of faith who support the freedom to marry have an important role to play in defeating this ballot measure.
